Glastonbury fans shudder at ‘ridiculous’ price as 2025 tickets go on sale

With an overhauled ticket system – featuring a fancy new queue – fans are preparing to hand over hundreds in a bid to see the .

This year’s Worthy Farm event saw the likes of , , and hit the Pyramid Stage as thousands of music fans made the pilgrimage to the iconic annual event.

Each year, a big talking point among festivalgoers is and whether the rise will stop wider audiences from pitching a tent and enjoying their favourite bands in the sunshine – or, most likely, the pouring .

Glastonbury is one of the , although organisers state this cost is simply to keep it going rather than raking in profit.

However, as last year over 2.5million of us tried to grab tickets, with set to battle it out for 2025’s festival.

How much are Glastonbury 2025 tickets?

Glastonbury 2025 won’t be cheap as general admission full-price tickets cost a whopping £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee, making a total of £378.50.

Included in the price is a ticket to the full five-day festival and camping, plus a range of other perks including a free mobile phone charger and access to the Kidzfield area.

It’s a 40% increase from the 2019 festival before the and the , when a ticket cost £248.

The first big price jump came in 2023, when a general admission full-price ticket set Glastonbury fans back £335, plus a £5 booking fee – this was a £75 increase from 2022.

Then came , which pushed the price up by another £20 to £355 each.

‘Just saw the new price for Glastonbury tickets and almost choked,’ Georgiamaew_ wrote on X when it was first revealed how much they would cost.

RogerFever pointed out: ‘2022 tickets were £280. This is getting ridiculous.’

Others predicted that following the fallow year in 2026, tickets for 2027 and beyond could cost fans more than £400.

Some fans thought that the price is ‘reasonable’ for the number of bands that perform, and branded Glastonbury Festival the ‘best place on Earth.’

When do Glastonbury 2025 tickets go on sale?

Coach travel tickets will go on sale at 6pm GMT, tonight (Thursday, November 14).

Fans hoping to grab this will be required to pay in full upfront, with travel adding up to £160 to the ticket cost.

General admission tickets – without coach travel- will go on sale at 9am GMT on Sunday, November 17.

Fans will have already needed to have registered in order to access the sale in an attempt to limit the amount of people trying to buy tickets.

Everyone aged 13 or over who wishes to buy a ticket must be individually registered.

They will once again be sold exclusively through with up to six tickets per transaction – be warned you need to attached individual names to each ticket.

There is no purchase now, find a friend later; you must fill in details for every person you buy a ticket for at time of purchase.

While you don’t have to cough up the entire £373.50 immediately, the buyer must pay a deposit of £75 per person to secure the ticket.

Fans have already begun speculating who could nab a coveted spot on the Pyramid Stage and perform at the 2025 festival.

Ed Sheeran is rumoured to be , with a source claiming to : ‘Ed adores performing at Glastonbury and getting to sing to so many fans on a massive scale.

‘He hasn’t got any big UK gigs lined up next summer, so this would be really special.’
