Tonight, TV viewers will tune into to watch some of their favourite stars react to shows including , medical drama This Is Going To Hurt and coverage of the Russia-Ukraine war on BBC News.
However, a couple of fan-favourites from the Channel 4 programme could be absent from tonight’s episode.
This week, it was reported that sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner may be taking a break, with full support from the broadcaster.
The duo have been on Gogglebox since 2015, having first joined in series six.
If they turn out to not be on the latest episode, what’s the reason for their absence?
Where are Ellie and Izzi Warner and when could they return?
Last week, Ellie’s boyfriend, Nat Eddleston, was said to .
A family member told : ‘Nat is in intensive care with a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage.
‘He is on a life support machine and all the family and Ellie are obviously very worried for him.’
Nat has been seen on Gogglebox before, appearing alongside his girlfriend on the programme.
A few days later, it was claimed Ellie and her sister Izzi would be taking a break from the series following the accident.
‘Channel 4 take duty of care really seriously,’ a source told The Sun.
‘Obviously Ellie and Issy are two of the most loved regulars on the show but it wouldn’t be right for them to have to film a light hearted show when Nat is in such a critical condition.
‘Producers have made it clear there is no pressure to return to filming and they can take all the time they need.’
Channel 4’s statement indicates that Ellie and Izzi should be back at some point, but a return date has not been specified as of yet.
Following the incident, West Yorkshire Police confirmed in a statement: ‘The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.’
Reports said that Nat was enjoying a night out at the pub with friends prior to the crash.
He is said to have been hit by a white Seat Leon travelling out of the city just after midnight.
Ellie, who works as a hairdresser, is yet to make a public comment on social media regarding the accident, as police appealed for witnesses.
Gogglebox returns next Friday at 9pm on Channel 4 and is available to watch on All 4.
