has unveiled another huge tattoo and fans can’t believe how it was inked into her skin.
The musician, 35, is but her latest piece of work wasn’t created with a tattoo gun, flooring tattoo fans.
Instead, tattoo artist Glyphomancer – who is behind Grimes’s inking – confirmed the large pink piece of body art is a stick-and-poke.
Stick-and-poke tattoos are applied by hand and needle, not machine, so are often only minimal.
However, Grimes’s new tattoo is anything but, leaving some flabbergasted.
Posting a photo of the hitmaker’s inking, Glyphomancer wrote: ‘Healed white ink + sneak peek of ongoing pink hand poke.’
Beneath the artist’s post, social media users were quick to express their shock, with one person writing: ‘The fact that the pink is hand poke.’
Another added: ‘That pink piece is a hand poke?’ while someone else asked, ‘Hand poke?!!’
Other comments included: ‘Oh my god’ and ‘Wow.’
Grimes, who was born Claire Elise Boucher, made sure to repost Glyphomancer’s photo on their own Instagram.
Last month, Grimes once again took to social media to show off a huge tattoo, this time on her leg.
Inspired by futuristic sci-fi imagery, the design resembles the red creeper weeds from various adaptations and retellings of War of the Worlds and runs from her thigh to her ankle.
There’s been no word yet on what her ex-partner Elon Musk makes of the tattoo.
The couple, who dated and lived together between 2018 and 2021, had two children before splitting up, with both children receiving controversial names.
At the time, it was reported that the name of their first child, X Æ A-12 (pronounced Ex Ash A Twelve) violated baby naming laws in California.
The baby’s name was subsequently changed to X Æ A-Xii, with the Æ A-Xii portion being his middle name, , Exa Dark Sideræl, whose nickname is Y.
