Taylor Russell has a few words of wisdom about relationships you just might want to hear.
The 29-year-old Escape Room actor is rumoured to be dating after the pair and now she’s opened up about how she approaches relationships.
It was first suspected Taylor and the As It Was singer, also 29, after she was seen dancing away in the VIP area to Harry’s Love On Tour shows in Europe.
Harry later tried to keep a low profile while attending Taylor’s theatre show in London, The Effect. After the pair enjoyed hanging out with Harry’s mates and James Corden, before leaving together.
But these loaded clues were all just heresay until Monday, when Harry and Taylor were pictured strolling hand-in-hand on the streets of London. Awrh.
Now, the Bones and All actor has opened up in an interview with all about her theatre show, and her attitude to relationships.
Hailing from Canada, while chatting about her big move to London, Taylor revealed to The Effect playwright Lucy Prebble that she is approaching life with open arms.
Replaying her personal pep-talk, Taylor said: ‘You know what, Taylor, this is a new place. You’re not in America, not in Canada. You have to open up and allow people to know you. You’re going to be in a community of people that are going to be there for you.
‘You have to allow them to know you. If something happens, something happens, that’s life,’ she said.
Wisely, Taylor continued: ‘You are going to be hurt – that’s the tax. The tax on a real relationship is the reality that you will get hurt, you will [have] grief, something will be lost at some point and that’s OK. It’s worth it.’
Reflecting on this mindset, she added: ‘It’s something that I’m having to remind myself a lot.’
But moving isn’t a new experience for Taylor, as she previously told magazine that she relocated 16 times growing up, as her actor father travelled for work.
‘Things changed a lot, so there was always an opportunity for reinvention, to create something new,’ she said.
Although Taylor seems to be stepping into the spotlight via heartthrob Harry, she’s long been a star in her own right, having broken through into Hollywood with her role in Waves in 2018 before starring alongside Timothée Chalamet in Bones & All.
Taylor is also a successful model. She walked Jonathan Anderson’s spring 2023 show in Paris in late November 2022, after which she was signed as the face of his brand Loewe.
