Harry Styles surprises James Corden with Happy Birthday sing-a-long during Madison Square Garden gig

The star was celebrating his big day at the Watermelon Sugar singer’s Madison Square Garden gig on Tuesday.

Excitedly sharing a clip of the crowd bursting into song on Instagram, the presenter wrote: ‘I can’t believe you did this H! It was the best part of my birthday. Thanks to everyone at MSG for joining in! ❤️❤️❤️.’

In the video, the former star tells the screaming crowd: ‘There’s a friend of mine [and] tonight it’s his birthday.

‘His name is James and I was wondering if you would please help me sing happy birthday to James.’

Of course, the 28-year-old’s fans oblige, bursting into song at the delight of History Boys actor.

James’ followers flocked to his Insta to share their well-wishes, with one writing: ‘Happy belated king James! We love you so much. Hope your birthday was filled with so much love.’

Another penned: ‘Aww so sweet! Happy birthday James ??.’

‘You’re so lucky. I won’t lie. All I want is H to know he saved me and know my story and see my tattoos, ?,’ one other remarked.

Another social media user added: ‘I was in Pit and screamed happy birthday, I can’t believe you were there!!’

Earlier this week,  admitted catching up on  is high on his to-do list once his tour comes to an end.

In his latest interview with , he revealed his downtime would be focused on enjoying a holiday with some friends, checking out The Bear, and seeing this year’s Love Island after he was ‘ to miss the recent series.

Meanwhile, James he would be stepping back from The Late Late Show after eight years.
