star Kit Connor refuses to label his sexuality despite the ongoing speculation.
The 18-year-old actor after the teen drama rocketed up the Netflix chart after Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring’s (Joe Locke) love story stole our hearts.
Due to the show’s , countless fans have felt , however, this has resulted in many questioning Kit’s sexuality, after his character came out as bisexual in the final episode.
Appearing on the he explained: ‘I just think that there’s a danger with things on social media.
‘In the cast, we’re all young – I’m 18 – and we have a few people in their early twenties as well and to start speculating about our sexualities and maybe pressuring us to come out when maybe we’re not ready.’
The star – who recently expertly earlier this month – also addressed why he doesn’t feel the need to comment on his sexuality.
‘I mean, for me, I just feel like I’m perfectly confident and comfortable in my sexuality, but I’m not too big on labels and things like that,’ he continued.
‘I’m not massive about that. And I don’t feel like I need to label myself, especially not publicly.
‘It feels a bit strange to make assumptions about a person’s sexuality just based on hearing their voice or seeing their appearance. I feel like that’s a very interesting, slightly problematic sort of assumption to make.’
Elsewhere – who plays Charlie’s good friend Elle – recently called out after strangers made ignorant remarks towards her at a restaurant.
Taking to Twitter to share a recent incident, she posted a stunning mirror selfie in which she wears a black cut-out dress, with her hair styled in a sleek bob and make-up looking extra glam.
She wrote alongside the pic that a woman shouted at her ‘in front of peers’ while Yasmin was leaving a restaurant: ‘Are you a boy or a girl?’
‘Erm Idk what do I look like to you?’, Yasmin wrote, referencing the beautiful selfie.
