The streaming service , but users are always wanting more to binge as the platform expands its library.
What many don’t know is that you can tell Netflix exactly what you want to see, by requesting your top titles and hoping for the best.
Here is how you can do it.
How to request TV shows and movies on Netflix
The first step may seem obvious, but you need to log in to your Netflix account. You should do this on a web browser – either on a computer or on your mobile – to make a request.
From there, you will see your usual selection of TV shows and movies that you are used to, with ‘popular on Netflix’, ‘trending’, and ‘continue watching for’ lists right at the top.
But scroll down the lists – and there are many of them – and you will eventually reach the bottom of the page. Here, you will find a menu with an array of options, from audio description settings to jobs, if you fancy working for the streaming giant.
But the option you want is ‘’, which will take you to Netflix’s dedicated website that assists users with any problem they might have.
From here, users can either search the entire site for a fix to their problem, or select an option from a pre-set menu. Helpfully, Netflix also offers a live chat function, where you can speak with an actual person to help solve your issue.
But below the search bar, you can find a list called ‘Quick Link’ – this is where you want to go next.
On the menu, hit the ‘Feedback about a title on Netflix’ option to send you to the next step.
This will take you to a separate page, where you a hit by several menus with options ranging from parental controls to deleting you viewing history.
Under the ‘available TV shows and movies’ section, you will find the ‘request TV shows or movies’ option – select this one to go to the next step.
Here, you will reach the final and most exciting step – telling Netflix what you want to see.
On the final page, you will see three boxes where you can add your favourite series and films and send it off to Netflix for consideration.
The question is – which three shows or movies will you ask for?
Sadly, Netflix has said they ‘can’t respond to individual requests’ so if you ask them for a film, you won’t get told if they buy the license for it.
