Ice Cube gives in-depth update on Kanye West and even addresses his antisemitic remarks

was interviewed by on Monday’s instalment of the latter’s show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Piers, 58, made sure to ask 54-year-old Ice about fellow rapper, , and was given an in-depth update.

‘I believe he’s doing great,’ Ice, real name O’Shea Jackson Sr, began.

‘He’s still dealing with some people trying to hold on to his money, but for the most part I believe he’s in a good space.’

Ice added: ‘I think he’s learned a lot from this past year and hopefully he’ll come out better on the other side.’

Piers then asked: ‘When you saw some of the crazier things he was saying, the antisemitic statements he was making, what did you feel as someone who knew him well? How did you feel about that?’

Over the past year, the Gold Digger rapper has sparked controversy for that he has made, resulting in him being  for violating the rules of the  platforms.

Ice said in response to Piers’ question: ‘I felt that if he was really upset with specific people, that the message he was saying would hijack what he was really upset about and that’s kind of what happened.

‘You can’t just generalise, you have to be specific. Especially if you’re taking about anybody, any race of people, you have to be specific on who exactly you’re talking about.’

Elsewhere, Ice shared his answer to cancel culture, telling Piers: ‘I think you say what you want to say and to hell with the consequences.’

The musician went on: ‘You’ve got to be willing to fight for your rights and fight for what you believe in, and if you’re a person who believes in freedom of speech, you have to fight and say what you feel and let the chips fall where they may, and stand on that.’
