Idris Elba reveals secrets of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding including Dr Dre song she chose: ‘It went off!’

Idris Elba has shared some insider secrets from the wedding of and , which he DJed.

The actor, 49, at the 2018 which had taken place at St George’s Chapel at . 

While you might expect a Royal wedding to be a sedate affair, Idris revealed the surprising track which got the crowd going. 

He revealed while co-hosting BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Rap Show with Tiffany Calver: ‘Still DRE by Dr Dre went off! It was Meghan’s choice.’

Idris had previously revealed that the wedding was ‘no doubt’ the most stressful job he has ever booked as a DJ. 

He had attended the royal wedding with his wife, Sabrina, alongside celebrity guests including George and Amal Clooney, Oprah Winfrey and Serena Williams.

The Luther star had begun his career as a DJ before becoming an actor and shows off his real-life skills I’m Netflix show Turn Up Charlie, playing a down and out DJ attempting to rebuild his music career while working as a nanny for jobs famous friend’s daughter. 

Idris also spoke to guest Ashley Walters on the show and pretty much confirmed he would be down to guest star in the third and final series of Top Boy.

Ashley asked him: ‘If there was a next season of Top Boy and we were casting for Dushane’s long-lost brother, are you taking it?’

Idris responded: ‘Did I just get offered a part in Top Boy on the radio?! You know what, every actor that watches Top Boy probably thinks the same: “Boy, I would kill that, you know, I would love to be in that.”

‘So Ash Boy, it’s very tempting and you’re my boy, so if there was a thing for me to come in and just dip in and out, I feel like I would be honoured to be a part of that.’
