became known as the contraband queen in her first stint of I’m A Celebrity – but she really outdid herself this time.
The Scottish star was sharing a camp with the likes of , , , and more in I’m A Celebrity South Arica.
Hailed an ‘all stars’ series, the one-off installment sees jungle icons from past years battle it out to become the first I’m A Celeb legend.
Alas, it seems old habits die hard and Gillian wasn’t prepared to go without her luxuries.
Ahead of her shock elimination – – in the first survival trial, the nutritionist was forced to surrender the items
While her campmates probably thought she’d just stuffed some peanuts in her socks or something, Gillian had everyone gobsmacked when she revealed an insane… contraption.
Yep, the famous I’m A Celeb fainter smuggled everything but the kitchen sink in, inside a pair of massive padded knickers.
And as if that wasn’t wild enough, she also smugged sea salt inside a condom!
Hailing the pants her ‘spicy knickers,’ the 63-year-old continued to pull out various spices and condiments as if her pants were Mary Poppins’ bag.
Her fellow stars were open-mouthed as she admitted to bringing in a herb shaker (hidden in a toilet roll tube, of course), five bags of Japanese miso soup powder, cumin powder, celery, and garlic powder.
She also had eight herbal stock cubes, a bag of herbal seasoning powder, and several nettle tea bags.
Former boxer Amir Khan told the Bush Telegraph: ‘She had a whole tuck shop in her underpants!’
Meanwhile, former model Janice labelled her actions ‘unbelievable.’
Reacting to the chaotic events, viewers at home were equally as stunned.
‘Gillian McKeith is utterly bonkers,’ one Twitter user wrote.
‘Would not be surprised at this point if Gillian unscrewed her leg and revealed even more contraband!’, another penned.
‘I feel like Gillian is made of contraband at this point,’ one person laughed.
Viewers were equally as confused after Gillian admitted she wasn’t sure what the definition of contraband was.
The previous day, she gave up some salt and pepper, while Phil Tufnell surrendered some coffee.
But there was so much more she managed to sneak past producers, although we’re unsure how she didn’t realise it wasn’t allowed…
Gillian didn’t survive long enough to be punished for her sneaky behaviour, however, as she and Shaun were sent packing.
the TV star said she was ‘sad to leave’ because she wanted to stay.
But she managed to leave with a new friend, after a feud with Shaun 13 years earlier during their 2010 stint in the Australian jungle.
‘I’ve won!’, Shaun declared. ‘I knew we’d come full circle, happy days! Now we’re off to get married.’
I’m A Celebrity South Africa continues each night at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
