Lead singer of rock band Kodaline, Steve Garrigan, is engaged!
The 35 year old got down on one knee and popped the question to his girlfriend in a big old festive gesture.
Posting pictures of the special moment to , the Give Me A Minute hitmaker wrote that he was a bit of a mess until he got an answer from his partner of ten years, Diana Bunici.
‘Thanks for making this Christmas/new year so special, I was excited, nervous and to be honest….,’ the singer confessed ion the caption of some sweet snaps.
‘A little bit all over the place until you said yes 😂 but I’m so glad you did. Love you @diana.bunici ❤️💍.’
In the pictures, the pair stood underneath massive letter balloons spelling ‘engaged’ as they sipped on some bubbly and looked to be enjoying the moment.
The ring glittered on Diana’s ring, and the pair looked matching in chic black get-ups, as he wore a sharp suit jacket, and she rocked a little mini dress with some thigh-high boots.
Friends and fans flocked to congratulate the happy couple, and one user in particular stood out – Jedward.
The Irish duo took to the post and made a very, er, generous offer indeed.
‘So happy for you! Bring on the future Love you both!’ they began affectionately, before continuing: ‘We’ll obviously perform lipstick at the wedding.’
It looks as though this could be happening whether journalist Diana and Steve like it or not!
Meanwhile, writer Diana took to Instagram with her own delighted words as she wrote: ‘You never really know how you’re going to react when the love of your life gets down on one knee and asks you to marry him!
‘Me? Well, you could say I ugly cried from the moment I saw that little red box. Me: “What’s that?” Steve: “What do you think it is?” Me: “ A… a… necklace?” *ugly cries*.
‘Spoiler: It wasn’t a necklace!
