Jurassic World: Dominion star Bryce Dallas Howard has teased that more could be set to come in the franchise, as one story isn’t quite over.
We’re definitely on board!
While Dominion is officially the franchise’s final instalment, Bryce, who plays Claire Dearing, reckons the story could continue in some form.
‘It just leaves the door open to a possibility in the future. What I will say is this chapter for Claire and Owen has come to a conclusion that I actually feel really great about. I feel really great about Claire’s journey,’ she told Metro.co.uk.
‘Is there an immediate next chapter for Claire? I’ll never say that the answer is no but I don’t see it personally.
‘Something in 20 years? That would be great. That would be awesome.’
Addressing co-star DeWanda Wise, who plays Kayla, she went on: ‘But your character has a lot still ahead of her in her journey so who knows what’s ahead?’
Consider us very intrigued.
Kayla is the new addition to the gang in Dominion, joining Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce), alongside Jurassic Park original characters Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum).
Laura about what it was like reuniting with her incredible co-stars all these years later.
‘It was amazing,’ she said.
‘These two casts came together with new characters together and we all literally moved in together because of the pandemic and spent five months as a family. It was amazing.
‘And it brought tears to my eyes the first day the three of us were together on set. We were giggly and teary, and taking pictures and it was really special.’
The epic conclusion to the franchise catches up with the characters four years after the Isla Nublar disaster, when dinosaurs and humans are (just about) living side by side.
But it’s a fragile balance that seemingly can’t last forever.
