‘feels closer’ to after reconnecting with his late wife’s children.
The 34-year-old married Jade in February 2009, a month before she died of cervical , and spent a lot of time with her sons during their relationship.
TV personality Jack has since reconnected with Bobby, 18, and Freddy, 17, who live with their dad Jeff Brazier, saying he ‘speaks to them more’ now.
Chatting to after marking the 13th anniversary of Jade’s death this week, Jack said: ‘I speak to the boys much more now than I did and that really helps. They message me and I love being in their lives again.
‘I’ve never tried to replace their dad, I know that I’m not their father, but they know that if they ever need anything, they can speak to me.’
Jack previously said that banned him from having contact with the boys due to his behaviour spiralling in the years after Jade’s death, which included a jail stint.
He admits Jeff was ‘probably right’ to do this, but was the one encouraging him to reconnect with the boys after seeing he had ‘sorted himself out.’
Jack now feels ‘a lot closer to Jade’ when he talks to Bobby and Freddy, and says ‘she would be so happy’ that they are back in touch, with it believed they started talking again in 2018.
The electrician just last summer and documented their antics on Instagram, sharing photos of him with his arm around Bobby as they both laughed.
‘I messaged them on their mum’s anniversary this week and told them how proud their mum would have been of them. They are so much like her in a lot of ways,’ he continued to the outlet.
Over a decade has passed since Jade’s death now, but Jack insists grief ‘doesn’t get easier.’
‘I will never get over Jade’s death, you just learn to deal with it better,’ he admitted.
‘It doesn’t feel like it’s been 13 years at all. I can still hear her talking, and it feels like yesterday when I last saw her.
‘I still talk to her, especially when I visit her grave, but then that also makes me feel sad because obviously I know I will never get a reply. I don’t think I will ever not cry when I think about her.’
Bobby and Freddy have certainly grown up a lot since Jack was their step dad, being just four and five-years-old at the time.
Eldest Bobby is enjoying a successful modelling career, fronting campaigns for luxury designer brands such as Dolce and Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger.
Their father Jeff has since married Kate Dwyer, while Jack since dating Chanelle Hayes in 2014.
He continues to remember Jade and encourage others to get smear tests, emphasising that they could save their lives.
