Jacob Elordi involved in police investigation after ‘assault’ outside popular pub

was involved in an ‘altercation’ outside an Australian hotel, it has been reported.

The and Kissing Booth actor, 26, was reportedly socialising at the Clovelly Hotel in Sydney for several hours before getting into the alleged argument with KIIS FM radio employee Joshua Fox.

The TikTokker was said to have approached Elordi for comment in front of the venue. It is not clear whether he was working for KIIS FM at the time.

Elordi reportedly took offence at one of his questions, as reported in, and an altercation broke out at around 3.30pm on Saturday.

Police told Metro.co.uk they were investigating after a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

‘Inquiries into the incident are continuing,’ the police said, adding the man – who they took a statement of – did not sustain any injuries. No charges had been laid.

Authorities are reportedly yet to speak to the other party, and are said to be reviewing CCTV.

As well as working for the radio station, Fox also runs Instagram page MAFS funny.

Elordi found overnight global fame when he alongside Barry Keoghan, Rosamund Pike, Richard E Grant and Carey Mulligan.

He plays aristocratic Oxford student Felix Catton, who becomes the subject of Oliver Quick’s (Barry Keoghan) obsession, and chaos ensues.

The role earnt him a BAFTA nomination for supporting actor, taking his career to new heights after he portrayed Nate in Euphoria.

Elordi is back in his home country ahead of the AACTA Awards on the Gold Coast on February 10, for which he is nominated for best supporting actor.

in  Frankenstein adaptation for , in which he will play the iconic monster.

The Priscilla actor joins the likes of Infinity Pool’s Mia Goth and  actor , who will play Dr Frankenstein.

, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley and Christian Convery are also set to star in the film, which does not yet have a release date.

Director, writer and producer Del Toro is best known for his work on Pan’s Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, and Pacific Rim.
