has made the heartbreaking revelation that he doesn’t believe he will be alive this time next year as he says his treatments are ‘not working.’
Whale, 72, was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2000 and had a kidney removed. In 2020, he revealed that it had .

Whale attended the Television and Radio Industries Club (Tric) awards this weekend alongside his wife Nadine Lamont-Brown, who he, when he made the claim he believes he will be dead in 2024.
However, he tackled the subject with his trademark sense of humour, saying ‘When I lose a lot more weight when I get really ill, I’ll look fantastic,’ reported.
He then gave an update on his cancer treatment, revealing he had stopped taking steroids that made him look like ‘a balloon.’
‘I’ve just come off all the steroids I was on, which made me look like a bloody balloon. I’m feeling better from that,’ he continued.
‘The cancer gets into your head and sometimes you can’t stand noise. At the moment, I have got cancer fatigue, which makes you very tired.
‘Some days I might feel sorry for myself. I feel sorry for my wife really. It’s more difficult for her.’
His wife Nadine then revealed that the broadcaster had been taking part in a clinical trial, but that it had ‘stopped working,’ which meant he would be stopping that treatment.
‘He’s had all the possible treatments, he’s on a clinical trial but we’re probably going to be winding up on that quite soon. It’s stopped working,’ she said.
The publication reported that while he had considered assisted death in a Swiss clinic, that he would instead be spending his remaining days at home with his family.
Whale’s first wife, Medlina, died in 2018 just months after being diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. The pair had been married for 48 years and share two sons.
