Jamie Foxx’s daughter has shared a heartwarming update over his health, weeks after he was rushed to hospital.
The Django Unchained actor sparked concern last month , following a ‘medical emergency’.
Hollywood rallied around to support the 55-year-old, to thank everyone for all the love he had received.
In a new social media post, Corrine Foxx slammed reports that the family were ‘preparing for the worst’, and revealed that her father is actually recuperating at home.
‘Update from the family: ‘Sad to see how the media runs wild,’ she wrote on her Instagram story.
‘My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!
‘Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!’
The reason for Jamie’s treatment has not yet been made clear, but it was previously claimed that to get to the bottom of what happened.
The Oscar-winner had been filming for his upcoming Netflix film, Back In Action, in Atlanta just days before he was hospitalized over a ‘medical complication’.
His family rushing to be by his side, with Corinne posting the initial news of his illness in a now-deleted Instagram post.
‘From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,’ she said at the time.
‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.
‘The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.’
It was later reported that he was ‘awake and alert’, with the Day Shift star speaking out on his own page on May 3.
‘Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,’ he simply wrote, beside a praying hand, a heart and a fox emoji.
On his Instagram Story, Jamie also reshared a post explaining that Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne would be briefly stepping in to present Beat Shazam, the game show he hosts with Corinne, during his hospital stint.
He added: ‘Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon See u all soon [sic].’
