However it is now being reported that, whatever it has required Jamie to undergo physical rehabilitation as part of his recovery plan.
Jamie is believed to be in Chicago undergoing treatment at one of the country’s top physio and rehabilitation centres, with his family by his side, to recover at home.
His daughters Corinne and Anelise, as well as Anelise’s mother Kristin Grannis were spotted in Chicago over the weekend to spend time with the actor during his care, reports.
It adds that the centre specialises in treating the likes of stroke recovery, traumatic brain injuries, cancer and spinal cord injuries.
A source claimed he arrived at the facility in late April and was first treated at a hospital in Atlanta – and is ‘recovering well.’
His daughters were pictured with smiles on their faces, one carrying a guitar, and Kristin was seen leaving the centre with a Mother’s Day balloon and flowers, meaning Jamie’s recovery appears to be going well.
Corinne recently slammed reports that her father was still hospitalised and that the family were ‘preparing for the worst,’ revealing he was up and about and had even played a game of pickleball.
Oscar-winner Jamie had been filming for the upcoming Netflix blockbuster Back In Action when he was mysteriously hospitalised.
His family rushed to be by his side, with Corinne posting the initial news of his illness in a now-deleted Instagram post.
‘From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,’ she said at the time.
‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.
‘The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.’
Jamie himself later took to Instagram to share his gratitude for the support he had received, writing: ‘Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.’
