The fashion designer and former Dukes of Hazard actress has revealed her nine-year-old daughter Maxwell is close to , whom she hailed as a ‘great kid’ with the potential to change the world.
Jessica, 41, said: ‘One of Maxwell’s best friends is North. She is amazing. She is a great kid, and she will be a part of a change in this world.’
And the star revealed her husband Eric Johnson – with whom she also has kids Ace, eight, and daughter Birdie, three – was ‘just recently’ coaching North and Maxwell’s basketball team.
She admitted it’s been ‘fun’ living in the same neighbourhood as Kim, 41, and her children – North, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and two-year-old Psalm – whom she shares with her ex Kanye West.
Jessica told Us Weekly: ‘That proximity makes it easy [for their friendship].’
And she admitted she admires the way Kim and her family have ‘remained the same’ despite their high profile with life in the spotlight through their reality TV shows.
‘I’m like, “I don’t know how y’all could do this all the time,”‘ she said. ‘I could only last three seasons [on Newlyweds], but they’re so open and they’ve always remained the same. … That’s really hard to do, and they’re powerhouses.’
Meanwhile, the Love Guru actress – who starred in the MTV reality show with ex-husband Nick Lachey between 2003 and 2005 – insisted the format has become ‘easier’ for those involved over the years.
‘It was one of the first, and so it was [cameras] following me all day long from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep unless I kicked them out, but I always felt bad,’ she added.
‘I don’t think that reality shows are set up like that nowadays. I think they have shooting days and that type of thing.’
