Jey Uso walked out on and The Bloodline in dramatic scenes at the end of SmackDown.
The 37-year-old superstar insisted he is done with his family, SmackDown and the company as a whole after laying out his twin brother Jimmy and their cousin Roman Reigns with two huge Superkicks.
Friday night’s event featured the fallout from SummerSlam as Jimmy sought to explain why , with Roman retaining the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and the title of Tribal Chief.
The champ asked his cousin what he wanted in terms of compensation, but Jimmy insisted he didn’t want anything from him, and he resisted Roman’s attempts to sweet talk him.
Jey hit the ring and demanded an explanation for the betrayal at SummerSlam, and Jimmy insisted he saw how being Tribal Chief corrupted the Head of the Table.
He wanted to save Jey from the same fate, concerned he would lose his brother after he had been manipulated by Roman over the years.
Jimmy left after Jey refused to attack his brother, with Roman mocking him and demanding to be acknowledged – but Jey ended up taking the fight to Roman and his younger brother Solo Sikoa.
He laid them both out and rocked the Tribal Chief with a Spear, before looking like he was going to hug Jimmy on the ramp, only to hit him with a huge Superkick.
As the show went off air, he dropped a massive bombshell, insisting he is ‘done’ and leaving the company.
‘I’m outta The Bloodline, I’m outta SmackDown, I’m outta WWE,’ he said, prompting plenty of questions as The Bloodline saga takes another fascinating twist.
Of course, Jey quitting is part of the long-running storyline, but there are so many possibilities when it comes to what direction everyone goes in next.
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
