Jim Carrey and Squid Game’s Jung Ho-Yeon star in The Weeknd’s new music video for Out Of Time

has enlisted Hollywood legend and ’s Jung Ho-Yeon to star in his latest music video for single Out of Time.

In the video, the singer and the 27-year-old award-winning Korean actress lock eyes in a hotel lift before sharing a drink in the bar and hitting a karaoke booth to perform a duet of Out of Time.

The pair are then seen running through the hotel lobby, with Jung trying on The Weeknd’s trademark glasses.

The voice of Carrey, who narrates The Weeknd’s latest studio album Dawn FM, can be heard saying: ‘Don’t you dare touch that dial. Because like the song says, you are out of time. You’re almost there but don’t panic.

‘There’s still more music to come before you’re completely engulfed in the blissful embrace of that little light you see in the distance.

‘Soon you’ll be healed, forgiven and refreshed, free from all trauma, pain, guilt and shame. You may even forget your own name. But before you dwell in that house forever, here’s 30 minutes of easy listening… on 103.5 Dawn FM.’

The video concludes with The Weeknd being transported to a surgery room where Carrey appears as his sinister surgeon, staring at him through a magnifying glass, before the music star is then fitted with a younger face.

Out Of Time features on Dawn FM, which also features collaborations with Tyler the Creator, Lil Wayne, and Quincy Jones.

The Weeknd thanked Carrey, 60, and Jung for their special guest appearances in his video, tweeting: ‘Thank you HOYEON and JIM. a dream collab! OUT OF TIME out now!’

Carrey, thrilled to have taken part in the clip, replied: ‘It was magic for me too, my friend. Collabra-cadabra!’

Comic actor Carrey recently revealed his plans to retire after , or at the very least, take a break from acting in favour of ‘the quiet life’.

Speaking to , he said: ‘Well, I’m retiring. Yeah, probably. I’m being fairly serious.

‘It depends, if the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road but I’m taking a break.’

Meanwhile, Jung has ascended to superstardom following her breakout role in Netflix’s gory survival drama Squid Game, for which she won at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards earlier this year.

Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk recently shared an update about when fans can expect the second season, revealing that he hopes to have the new episodes on Netflix by the end of 2024.

Speaking to Variety, Hwang said he has returned to South Korea to write the new series, which he says will be ‘more violent’ than season 1.

Fans might also see the unexpected return of Jung in the new series, with Hwang adding to Deadline: ‘Let’s say maybe she has a twin sister, you’ll see.’
