When asked to explain to listeners what US chain Waffle House is, doting dad Joe compared it to Wetherspoons or ‘another all-day breakfast restaurant’.
Clearly bemused that Hollywood star Joe knew about Wetherspoons, said to the Cake By the Ocean crooner: ‘I’m going to pull you up there, you’ve never been to a Wetherspoon.’
Joe replied: ‘I have been to Wetherspoons!’
Co-host Zoe Hardman then queried: ‘What did you think of it?’ which is when Joe made the startling confession that he’s not a huge fan of the chain.
‘Um, I liked other places…’ he began, adding: ‘Let’s just say it wouldn’t be my first go-to.’
Clearly Joe needs to get himself down to a Spoons on a Thursday for the joint’s famous Curry Club. A vindaloo and a pint for £5.99? Utter bargain.
Elsewhere in the interview, Joe raved about the joys of parenthood, touching upon how much he misses his family when he’s away.
He told Jamie: ‘You want to come home quicker. We used to be like, “oh we’re in an amazing city, let’s stay here for one more day” but now it’s like, “nah let’s get home”. We want to get home and be with the family.’
Joe and his wife Sophie Turner , two years after Game of Thrones actress Sophie, 27, gave birth to her and Joe’s first daughter, Willa.
The couple first began dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2017 before tying the knot two years later.
While speaking with Jimmy Fallon on his chat show last year, Sophie revealed that she knew that she would marry Joe the .
‘I mean the first night I met him I remember, he left my apartment, and it may have been the alcohol, but he left – he didn’t come over, I’m not that forward,’ she explained.
‘We went out and we hung out at a bar, all of my friends and all his friends, and they all came back to my apartment and we had drinks after.’
She continued: ‘And I remember him leaving, and I just wept to my brother… I was like, “I love this man so much!” And I knew. And that was it.’
