Joe Lycett cheekily took aim at Ant and Dec in the third episode of his Channel 4 talk show Late Night Lycett.

At the beginning of this week’s episode, the comedian, 34, hit out at the Geordie duo while telling the audience that the Dalai Lama had hit headlines in recent days after .

Commenting on the disgraceful news, Joe quipped: ‘People can get away with anything with a massive following. Just ask Ant and Dec.’

He then insisted: ‘It’s only a joke.’

The Dalai Lama apologised after a video went viral showing him kissing a young boy and asking him to suck his tongue in at the Tibetan Buddhist’s Tsuglagkhang temple in Dharamshala, northern India on February 28.

His office said his actions were meant in an ‘innocent and playful way’.

Joe’s cheeky quip at Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly comes after he dropped an X-rated  joke during last week’s show.

Towards the end of the episode, the Brummy presenter introduced his guests to a game, hilariously called Finish Me Off.

Before he explained how to play, Joe took aim at the ITV Daytime show and said: ‘This next bit is named after a phrase you often hear screamed behind the scenes of this morning, because it’s called Finish Me Off.’

This week, Joe was joined by Dame Joan Collins, Joel Dommett, Gemma Collins, and Munroe Bergdorf.

For some reason, comedian Katherine Ryan agreed to return to the programme despite being stranded on a barge two episodes running.
