As the UK is finally hit by a tiny hint of summer, is wasting no time in getting behind the barbecue.
And his eldest daughter Betty has given fans a glimpse into the event as her famous family made the most of the weekend.
The Masked Singer UK panellist Jonathan, 62, was seen cooking vegetarian burgers and corn on the cob as he posed for a photo.
Another image from the family’s get-together saw sister Honey and Betty sticking their tongues out and throwing up peace signs as they basked in the sun.
Meanwhile, another saw Jonathan sat alongside his daughters, son Harvey, Honey’s boyfriend Zane and the Ross’ family friend Stuart.
Jonathan’s wife, screenwriter Jane Goldman, was seen in another of the family’s snaps, proudly holding up a dandelion chain she was putting together.
Keeping his guests well fed, a selection of cheese and crackers, crisps and nuts were also seen on offer on the food table.
The barbecue was held to mark the Jewish holiday Shavuot, the feast of weeks, which is celebrated seven weeks after Passover.
According to Museum of the Bible, Shavuot commemorates ‘the first fruits of the harvest and [is] associated with the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai.’
Jonathan revealed that Betty was ‘showing an interest in her Jewish culture’ from her mum’s side in a tweet in February 2021.
He wrote at the time, ‘I just helped light candies for Shabbat gif the first time. That’s not the easiest song to sing along with….’
Betty has been open with her social media followers on her life with a disability, as she lives with fibromyalgia.
Jonathan, too, opened up on the condition in December, saying his daughter having the condition – which causes widespread pain and extreme tiredness – has ‘made him listen more as a dad.’
Speaking on Loose Women, he said, ‘She’s got fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome and POTs syndrome as well, which is where your heart rate shoots up.
‘It’s been a tough couple of years for her in particular, but she is getting slowly better.’
