The Escape to the Country star has been keeping his fans up to date with his personal life over the past few months after revealing back in November that he was living with terminal cancer.
Last year, he revealed he didn’t know how long he had left to live after his lung cancer spread to his brain.
The father-of-three – who has three young sons, Rex, three, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Corma, with his wife Jess – admitted he is hoping to be able to go on holiday this summer, although he wouldn’t want to fly too far.
‘I really would like to go on holiday – every week I feel a little bit stronger,’ he explained to The Sun.
‘I don’t think I would be able to go long haul, I wouldn’t feel comfortable but if I could go somewhere in Spain, Portugal or Italy – that would be great.’
He has had a lot of ups and downs over the past few months, having even to monitor a change in his pain management regime.
However, that didn’t stop Jonnie from , packed with arts and crafts with his children before enjoying some cricket.

He continued: ‘Breakfast of Chocolate Guinness cake baked expertly my brilliant wife then cards from the boys and visit from my brother in law for a brief pillion ride back in time to enjoy some of the highs and lows of the Ashes ending in more cake with more family washed down by a drop of champers.’
