Jonnie Irwin flooded with support as rounds up summer with ‘best day’ update

wrapped up his with a trip to ’s Oval cricket ground.

The dad-of-three shared a handful of photos from his epic trip to the sports ground and hailed it as the ‘best day’.

Jonnie, 49, was joined by cricketer Ryan Sidebottom in the capital and his fun photos delighted fans, who took to the comment section of Jonnie’s Instagram post to let him know just how much they loved seeing him out and about.

The A Place In The Sun presenter – who revealed last November he had terminal , with a tumour in his lung spreading to his brain – captioned his Instagram post: ‘Had the best day in awesome company thanks to @ryansidebottom_official and @engagegroup_uk who made the whole experience a massive highlight of my summer.’

Beneath the TV star’s photos, one person wrote: ‘So, happy you had a super day,’ while another echoed, ‘Looking good Jonnie. So great seeing your lovely smile.’

Someone else said: ‘Great to see you out and about and enjoying yourself Jonnie lad.’

Other comments included: ‘Lovely, nice to see you enjoying time with your mates’ and ‘Glad you had a great time Jonnie, doing fantastic.’

Jonnie has been in to his three children since sharing his  diagnosis last year.

Jonnie revealed his lung cancer spread to his brain  but is determined to make plenty of memories with .

The doting dad shares his three young boys with wife Jessica Holmes and over the weekend .

The Escape to the Country star has publicly shared that he doesn’t know how long he has left to live.

He was previously told by professionals that they weren’t expecting him to see in 2023.

When asked back in July what advice he would give people in his position, he told BBC One’s Morning Live: ‘Embrace it.’
