A judge is set to clear the public courtroom after ’ domestic violence trial began earlier today, it has been claimed.
The Creed III actor appeared in a court in Manhattan over misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment, amid claims that in March of this year.

, the trial got underway this morning, with jury selection still pending, but reports that Judge Michael Gaffey will first allow his team to privately argue for keeping a sealed piece of evidence permanently out of the case.
According to the outlet, the information is ‘likely to be prejudicial and inflammatory’, and could harm his ability to receive a fair trial in front of an impartial jury.
Majors arrived for the hearing beside girlfriend Meagan Good, wearing sunglasses and an oversized black coat, on top of a grey suit.
The Loki star faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
He was first arrested on March 25, and charged with several counts of assault and aggravated harassment towards Jabbari, 30.
Police responded to a 911 call in Chelsea, and later took him into custody.
His former partner sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was taken to hospital in stable condition, according to a police statement issued to Metro.co.uk at the time.
Majors was charged with strangulation, assault, and harassment – his representative denied any wrongdoing, and stated that they looked forward to ‘clearing his name’.
His lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, claimed that they had ‘provided the District Attorney with irrefutable evidence that the woman is lying, including video proof showing nothing happened, especially not where she claimed.
‘This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims.’
Majors against Ms Jabbari in June – following the initial charges – and alleged that she attacked him.
In the wake of his arrest, featuring the actor as narrator after enlisting the rising star to boost their recruiting numbers.
Variety reports that he was let go from public relations firm Lede Company, while he also parted ways with his talent management company, Entertainment 360.
