’s upcoming concert in has been canceled days before it was due to go ahead, it has been claimed.
The I Wonder rapper was due to take the stage at the RCF Arena in Italy on Friday, after his postponed gig last week was called off due to a train and severe issues.
The 46-year-old – whose – had rescheduled the performance for this week, but has reportedly been shelved at the last minute.
According to multiple reports, the stage was being set up in Reggio Emilia at the same venue where Harry Styles recently appeared, but the concert was never officially announced by promoters.
The set up was reportedly later dismantled over ‘security and organizational’ problems.
’We had no option but to cancel the event,’ Local prefect Maria Rita Cocciufa told . ‘These things take a lot of organizing, you have to have a health plan, traffic plan and some idea of how tickets are being sold and numbers.
‘You have to have all these things in place because you have to guarantee the safety and security of the people attending and as a city, we were ready but we just hadn’t heard anything from the organizers so for safety reasons it had to be cancelled.
‘The concert was due to take place Friday and on Monday we had still heard nothing.’
Kanye sparked a huge amount of backlash from his recent trip to Italy, alongside wife Bianca.
They made headlines for all the wrong reasons during a jaunt to Venice when the dad-of-four was , with his partner seen in between his legs.
The newlyweds were later told to cover up while out and about in Italy, with a warning from the area’s official tourism board.
Senior tourist instructor Andrea Giordani, at the Tourism and Promotion office in Florence, told the outlet: ‘I’d like to remind Kanye and his wife that they have broken the code of Enjoy and Respect Florence, in fact their behavior goes beyond that, and especially in the case of Venice where they were seen on the boat allegedly engaged in sexual activity – Italy is not that kind of place.
‘We remind them of the code of Enjoy and Respect Florence – it reminds holiday-makers to remember what are the wrong behaviors but also what are the “good practices” to live the city correctly and better organize your stay.
‘Only in this way will it be possible to guarantee the civil coexistence and the protection of the rights of each of us, respecting the environment, the artistic heritage and the identity of Florence, a city that was the cradle of the Renaissance and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.’
