supported fiance Carl Woods as he arrived at court today after being charged with threatening and abusive behaviour.
The 33-year-old was scheduled to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning,
Woods was pictured making his way into court dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans with trainers, while Price wore a blazer and green trousers with a quirky shielding mask.
They put on a united front and held hands as they walked inside the building, where they were met by two police officers.
In February, Essex Police confirmed the charges in a statement, which said: ‘A man arrested following an incident in Little Canfield, on August 23 2021, has been charged.
‘Carl Woods, 33, has been charged under Section 4 of the Public Order Act. He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates Court on March 10.’
The car dealer later spoke out and during the incident which took place last summer.
In an Instagram post last month, Woods wrote: ‘Katie Price was never punched or hit. There has been no charge for this. Nor has Katie ever been controlled.
‘As I’ve said, if you think this women is controllable you must be out of your mind [sic].
‘The original alleged assault story sold was worth thousands and full of make pretend events.
Unfortunately for me, I’ve been dragged into the drama series that is this particular life I’m living as have so many others.’
He added: ‘But I am the victim of lies, bulls**t and manipulation, not only by the press but by the people involved in the original story that was to portray innocence elsewhere before any truths could be revealed at the time (and to earn f**k loads of money for them as I’ve said earlier) believe me when I tell you that.’
In videos shared on his Instagram Story, Woods explained that he was charged with a public order offence, which he said was ‘just arguing in the street and using foul language’.
‘That’s what I’ve been charged with. Nowhere have they said that I’ve been charged with assault on Kate or actually anything to do with the incident in August, because I wasn’t, it was nothing to do with me,’ he said, adding: ‘Everything I say I’ve got proof of and I will show it.’
Off-screen, Price backed him up by saying: ‘He’s never, ever touched me.’
Woods continued, saying that he ‘didn’t lay a finger on her, didn’t ever coercively control her’.
The couple after meeting at Sheesh, having been set up by a mutual friend.
They became engaged 10 months later, with Price telling OK! magazine at the time: ‘It’s refreshing to be with a man that if I decided I never wanted to work again, he’d look after me. I just love him.’
She added: ‘We’d spoken about it a lot, so I knew he was going to, I just didn’t know when. It was amazing. Carl asked my mum and dad for permission – and Junior!’
