Cops are said to have seized Katie Price’s ex-husband’s air rifle after he was , reports claim.
The personal trainer, 36, was taken into police custody on Friday on suspicion of possessing a firearm and child neglect.
According to The Sun, Â Police officers attended his semi-detached property at 4pm and took him into custody where he was then questioned and later freed.
A source said: ‘Kieran’s air rifle was taken as is standard procedure in an investigation like this.
‘Police were acting on claims made over a week ago.’
A spokesperson for the reality star told the publication: ‘Kieran’s air rifle is perfectly legal — he is confident he has not done anything wrong.
‘He is a good, gentle person who wouldn’t hurt anyone, so news of his arrest was a shock. Sadly, there is malicious intent by the people behind it. But he is looking forward to clearing his name.’
In a statement issued to , Sussex Police confirmed Hayler’s arrest, stating: ‘A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and child neglect.
‘He has been taken into custody for questioning.’ The force refused to issue further comment.
