has revealed she tries to put on a brave face in front of her children when she’s upset by her ex-husband .
The 42-year-old Skims founder shares four children – North, 10, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and Pslam, four – with the All Falls Down singer, 46.
The former couple were married for six years before. He is now thought to be married to Bianca Censori after a private ceremony in January.
In a new interview with Vogue Italia, Kim opened up about her family and how she shows emotion in front of her kids.
‘If it’s something concerning my kids’ dad and I’m upset, I try not to show as much emotion,’ she told the magazine.
‘I have to be ready to explain why I’m upset and it might not be appropriate for them to know.
‘There’s nothing worse than “You’ll understand when you’re older”. I don’t want to be that person.
‘But if I’m upset about other things that they can understand, I absolutely will show emotion and cry.’
Although the, she appeared to reach her limit in the first episode of the new series of The Kardashians, which aired last month, and as a result of his actions.
‘Even through all of the craziness, of everything Kanye says about us, I never comment. I never post. He has made up the most insane narrative about you, and the [sex] tape. We stay silent. Through all the lies, through all of the stuff,’ she said.
Becoming emotional, she continued: ‘I have to sit here and not say anything ever, because I know, one day, that my kids will appreciate that [through tears]. I know that is the best thing for them.
‘I’m the one where, s**t could be going down and I get in the car every day and the kids want to blast dad’s music, and I’m like, “He’s the best!” And I put it on and we’re singing along, and inside I’m dying.’
Elsewhere in her interview with Vogue Italia, Kim spoke about North’s playful TikTok videos.
‘She just genuinely loves to do videos with me,’ she shared.
‘As things come up we’ll have those conversations. North does not have social media on her phone yet, she also has weeks without being on her phone and is not a dependent person on her phone. If she was, I would be a little bit more concerned.’
