Kimberley Walsh has led the tributes to her late Girls Aloud bandmate on the one-year anniversary of her death.
Harding , aged 39, a year after revealing she had breast .
Her mother Marie broke the news in an Instagram post saying that her daughter had ‘slipped away peacefully’ in the morning.
Kimberley remembered her friend in a sweet tribute shared on social media.
Alongside a black and white photo of the singer, she penned: ‘Sarah passed away a year ago.
‘I can still hardly believe it to be honest but it feels more real than ever today. Thinking of her always and of everyone who loved and miss her too ?’
Peter Andre also remembered Harding, stating that she ‘will never be forgotten’.
‘It was such a shock when Sarah died, but what I love about the Great British public is that when a terrible situation like this happens and someone so loved passes, people put all their love and support behind the family,’ he penned in his Mirror Online column.
‘Sarah was a very loved person, she will never be forgotten. I hope her family have been able to in some way come to terms with their loss. It’s such a terrible thing to have happened to someone so young.’
In July, Harding’s bandmates Nicola Roberts, Cheryl and Nadine Coylewhich aimed to raise money for charity Cancer Research UK in her memory.
‘It doesn’t feel like she’s gone at all,’ Cheryl said during the event as she opened up about how she has coped with Harding’s death.
‘To be honest, I’ve never experienced or anticipated this grief. You know, I’ve lost grandparents when I was younger and I lost a friend when I was younger but nothing like this, the feeling of shock and disbelief and it still lingers now to be honest.
‘I still can’t quite believe it’s real.”

The No Good Advice singer said: ‘Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and well during these uncertain times. I’ve not posted on here for so long, thank you to everyone who has reached out to check in on me, it really does mean a lot. I feel now is the right time to share what’s been going on.
‘There’s no easy way to say this and actually it doesn’t even feel real writing this, but here goes.
‘Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.
‘I’m currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can.’
Harding found fame on the TV series Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 where she, Cheryl, Nicola, Kimberley, and Nadine were selected to form Girls Aloud.
The five-piece reunited for their 10th anniversary in 2012, releasing the greatest hits album Ten.
After performing the final show of their tour in 2013, they announced the group had split.
