season 2 is currently filming in London and L***ed photos from the set have revealed a big connection with .
Production for the second season has rocked up on the streets of , allowing fans and bystanders to take snaps of the action.
The Marvel show, which debuted on + in 2021, has been filming around the Noel Coward Theatre in Leicester Square, and eager viewers have set up camp there in order to unearth the show’s future secrets.
Earlier this week, was reportedly spotted in costume as Mobius alongside Tom Hiddleston, the main star of the series who plays the show’s mischievous titular lead.
And with production still ongoing, more pictures from the set have emerged online, and fans have spotted a major connection that ties Loki to 2021 movie Eternals.
In pictures posted to Twitter, a fictional film poster featuring Kingo (played by Kumail Nanjiani in the Chloé Zhao film) can be clearly seen.
Kingo’s backstory in Eternals informed viewers that he became a famous Bollywood actor after the Eternals initially parted ways in the 1500s.
He then used his work in the industry to cover up the fact that he had been on Earth for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
And now it seems that Loki will be making explicit reference to the superhero’s career in Bollywood during the second season.
Writing on Twitter, one fan said: ‘There [are] all these old movie posters [with] characters from the Marvel Comics and the street is closed down’.
Providing further information, they also gave more details about the time period in which at least part of the second season is reportedly going to take place.
‘There’s a bunch of old cars – a bunch of extras in 70s outfits just walked by’.
The fan also noted that the scene being filmed outside the famous old theatre featured a man getting out of a car and waving to a crowd.
‘They keep rehearsing this scene where a guy walks out of a car and waves at people before walking into the theatre’, they said.
And apparently the fans who were watching the show being filmed decided to take the time to have fun with the currently unknown actor.
‘We’re all just waving back at him hoping to make him laugh’, the fan captioned a video of the actor turning towards them and giving his best wave.
Fans have been desperate for information about season two ever since the first season concluded in July last year, and this will only increase their appetite.
