Elden Ring and Gran Turismo 7 both had slower starts than the new Lego , which is the second fastest seller of the year so far.
There was never any chance of it being anything other than a massive hit, but is now officially the UK number one, after enjoying the second biggest launch for any game at retail this year – beaten only by Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
The PlayStation 5 version was the biggest seller at 31%, followed by the at 26%, at 23%, and PlayStation 4 at 20% – so 51% overall for the two PlayStation formats.
This is only physical sales though and once digital is added in its very likely that Elden Ring will still be the overall winner. However, it’s also the biggest launch ever for a Lego game in the UK, without even counting digital sales. Although, surprisingly, the fastest seller up to this point was Lego Indiana Jones from 2008.
