Speaking to , she revealed how she dealt with it – by heading to the pub.

‘Then I said, “Get me a cap, we’re going out for a drink”,’ she laughed.

However, things aren’t easier the fourth time around.

‘When we got back I was emotional. My sister Maureen said, “Are you alright?”, and I couldn’t speak, then I said, “Not really.” She came and sat beside me and put her arm around me,’ Linda added.

‘I just feel, because I’ve been having steroid treatment as well and my face is swollen, I look like Mrs Potato Head.

‘People say, “Well you know you look great”, but inside I’m screaming, “I just don’t want to lose my hair again!” I was devastated at losing it.’

The star said she has ‘two lovely wigs’ and she will wear them, but with reluctance.

‘I hate them,’ Linda said.

‘I check it’s on straight all the time, or if it’s warm I’m boiling. It’s been easier to wear the baseball cap.’

Shaving her hair comes not long after Linda was after an awful hoax message spread online.

A man online claimed that The Nolans star had died by sharing a tribute, with her family quickly clarifying.

A stern message was issued, revealing that in just 20 minutes since the initial rumour was posted, they had received a large volume of calls attempting to confirm the news.

They added, in no uncertain terms: ‘Linda Nolan is absolutely NOT dead.’
