is going to be sporting quite the shiner after superstar Kevin Owen punched him on SmackDown this week.
The controversial star turned professional wrestler was back on Friday night to find out who he will defend the Championship against at the Royal Rumble on January 27.
He brought some ‘cred’ to the blue brand as he got a closer look at the US Title tournament final match between KO and Santos Escobar.
Owens – who has going back to WrestleMania 37 in 2021 – scored the huge win, settling up a high stakes clash in a few weeks at the Rumble.
After the match, the Prime energy co-founder hopped up onto the side of the ring to sarcastically congratulate the Prizefighter on his victory and getting to face the ‘greatest’ US Champ of all time.
He ran his mouth a bit too much, eventually getting caught with a stiff right hand from his rival, who had clearly heard enough.
After the show went off air, Logan shared a backstage selfie showing off the beginnings of a nasty black eye and bruising on his cheek, and revealed his fellow wrestler caught him for real with the punch.
Posting the snap on his Instagram Story, the 28-year-old star wrote: ‘He actually got me.’
The attack from KO adds another layer to what is already turning into a personal feud between the pair, while the match will mark Logan’s first ever title defence despite winning the gold at the beginning of November.
Back at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, Logan to capture his first championship in the company, although he needed the help of Santos Escobar and some brass knuckles to get the job done.
It was just his eighth match to date for the company, having made his in-ring debut teaming with The Miz to beat Rey and his son Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38 back in April 2022.
He’s left fans and fellow wrestlers impressed with how quickly he’s taken to the business, with recently exclusively telling Metro.co.uk: ‘I think he’s a pro wrestler at heart.
‘The way he talks, the way he moves, all those type of things, I think he’s in the right field now.’
WWE Royal Rumble airs January 27 at 1am. Tune in via the WWE Network.
