Lorraine Kelly has opened up about her recent weight loss after finding she turned to comfort eating amid lockdown.
The presenter, 62, revealed she had been steadily putting on weight since lockdown and after Christmas which was affecting her confidence.
She signed up to WW in January and has gone from 11st 10lbs to 10st 3lbs in just a matter of months.
Lorraine told the : ‘It’s made life a lot easier. I know I wasn’t alone in putting on weight over the pandemic. I think a lot of us were comfort eating.
‘I’ve certainly got my zest for life back. It’s improved my confidence massively. I feel like I can take on anything right now.’
Revealing her decision to sign up to the weight loss plan, Lorraine explained: ‘It was a combination of things. I definitely overindulged over Christmas, as we all do. I was finding a size 14 was getting too tight.’
Lorraine revealed that changing her diet and routine had also enriched her relationship with her husband, Steve Smith.
She revealed: ‘Steve says, “I’ve got you back,” because my energy levels have improved. I’m up for doing stuff now whereas before, at the weekend, I would do some housework and then collapse in front of the telly.’
The couple, who have been together for almost 30 years, now take part in the plan together with Steve adding his own healthy recipes to the menu as they go.
Lorraine also recently revealed that the secret to her youthful complexion is that she undergoes micro needling facials.
The procedure involves the skin being pricked with tiny sterile needles in order to stimulate the body to produce more collagen and elastin which aids in maintaining a youthful visage.
