Bliss Poureetzadi has opened up about her return to Love Is Blind after being dumped in the pods, and an awkward interaction with Irina Solomonova.
The 33-year-old had a rollercoaster time on season four of the Netflix dating show, when she was initially dumped by Zack Goytowski – and .
He didn’t listen and , but quickly ran back with his tail between his legs when their brief romance fell apart in Mexico.
Bliss chose to forgive the 32-year-old and they picked up where they left off, insisting that she had no hard feelings towards her former castmate.
However, in a chat with , Bliss claimed there was one exchange between the two that left her unimpressed.
‘She did text me actually when she got back from Mexico, [saying] that I dodged a bullet. And then she’s like, “Oh wait, that was mean.’ And I just didn’t respond,’ she said.
‘I just had no interest in [it]. I felt like I said what I had needed to say to her [in our final conversation].
‘I will say that I had that conversation with her multiple times. And so, I think that was more the disappointing part.’
Since the episodes have aired, Irina also reached out once again to clear things up, after seeing how she was portrayed.
‘She did reach out to me after these last episodes dropped and just apologizing and all of that. So we haven’t talked in person or anything like that,’ Bliss added.
‘But for me, this was a year ago. This is one small little blip in my life … that was just one part of me and Zack’s story. So it’s something that I feel like I’ve really moved on from, and I just hope the best for everyone.’
Aside from her broken relationship with Zack, Irina built up a close friendship with fellow singleton Micah Lussier, which didn’t go down well with viewers, after they were shown mocking their fellow contestants for being emotional.
One particularly controversial scene saw Irina sneaking around to eavesdrop on a sobbing Amber Wilder, moments after she was rejected by Paul Peden.
They were both met with severe backlash on social media after the first batch of episodes were released, with many calling out their antics and branding the pair ‘mean’.
Addressing their behavior in a chat with Entertainment Weekly, she insisted that it was just their way of ‘coping’ with the emotions of the pods.
‘Everything was difficult. Everyone was experiencing the whole show in a different way,’ she said. ‘Me and Micah’s coping mechanism was laughing about it. And I honestly will say on the record, 100 percent, I did not intentionally ever want to hurt anyone. [Hearing] that I hurt people’s feelings genuinely breaks my heart.
‘With Micah, we were laughing because, yes, it was very serious and it was very intense and it was very hard, so I don’t want to brush it off and say that we weren’t taking it seriously.
‘It’s just more our perspective, that’s how we coped about it; we laughed and made the best out of it. We didn’t intend to be mean or intentionally hurt anybody at all.
‘That does honestly hurt me, hearing that, and I hope I can have some conversations to fix that later.’
