’s got emotional after hailed their former connection as ‘a test.’
During Sunday’s instalment, the islanders were rocked by an ‘unexpected’ recoupling which saw the boys picking the girls.
When it came for Sammy to make a decision, he claimed that his relationship with Jess Harding was tested following Leah’s arrival.
After the recoupling Leah went inside and vented her frustrations to .
‘He has been flirting with me a lot but didn’t even say he preferred Jess. He has handled it so badly,’ she said.
‘I feel really upset. I am a human being. He hasn’t been honest with Jess about how open he was with me.’
‘I feel like he’s just handled the situation poorly,’ she told Ella Thomas later during the episode.
After speaking with the girls, Leah pulled Sammy aside and expressed how she felt.
‘I feel like I’m really confused by the way you’ve behaved,’ she said. ‘Why didn’t you have the decency to say you’re flirting for fun.’
Although fellow islanders branded Sammy’s reaction as ‘defensive’ he apologised (we say that loosely) for making her feel like their connection was just a ‘little test.’
Fans also felt bad for the 27-year-old after she had her emotional moment, with one person writing: ‘I do feel bad for Leah because Zach, Sammy, Mitchell and Tyrique have basically all used her for flirting practice.’
Another added: ‘When you deep it, two boys using leah as a “test” is just rude.’
In other Love Island news, 2016 contestant Kady McDermott is allegedly following in the footsteps of and returning to the villa for the second time.
The 27-year-old originally appeared in the second series of the show, where she coupled up with Scott Thomas. The pair became boyfriend and girlfriend.
‘Kady was a fantastic Islander in 2016. She made brilliant television and bosses are hoping she can recreate the same magic in the villa this summer,’ a TV source told and finished in third place.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
