’s mum wasn’t too keen on her romance with when she visited her daughter in the villa, but it seems the 2018 troublemaker is now in her good books.
During the iconic Meet the Parents episode, a smitten Paige quizzed her mum Samantha about her blossoming relationship but was left deflated when the family on her choice.
‘I’m not buying it’, Samantha said.
‘The way you were with Jacques [O’Neill] was different, with Adam it just seems a lot different’, she added, referring to Paige’s coupling with rugby player Jacques before he walked out of the Majorcan villa.
However, since the show came to an end and Paige and Adam narrowly missed out on a place in the final, they’ve been able to bond with each other’s families away from the cameras.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday, the pair – – spoke about how Geordie lad Adam went to Swansea to visit Paige and her clan.
They shared hilarious photos of Adam larking around with Paige’s relatives, as she explained that it only took a matter of minutes before her mum warmed to her new beau.
‘Oh, 100%’, she replied when host Ranvir Singh asked whether Adam had won her mum over.
‘She absolutely loves him now. It took all of two minutes when he came to Swansea and she was obsessed, as were the rest of the family.
‘I thought I’d throw him in at the deep end and get him to meet all of the fam all at once, and he just won the room over as soon as he walked in’, she said.
She laughed that it was probably ‘the shots and the dancing on the table that did it’, as pics of Adam drinking with Paige’s loved ones flashed up on screen, including her nan.
One photo showed Adam carrying Paige’s uncle Stewart – who he admits gave him a bit of a ‘grilling’ – on his shoulders as she joked: ‘Family bonding!’
But Paige said she had ‘no doubt’ that once Adam went to Wales, ‘it was gonna go that way anyway’ but it was nice to ‘get it over with’ and their relationship now feels ‘so much easier’.
Adam and paramedic Paige – who plans to after the chaos settles down – grew close when he shocked everyone by entering the villa as a bombshell halfway through the series.
They’ve been living in each other’s pockets ever since, after Paige’s initial connection with Jacques came under fire, with viewers accusing him of gaslighting her with how he spoke to her on occasions.
After about her new romance with Adam, Paige’s ex Jacques has apologised for his behaviour on the show.
