Machine Gun Kelly has introduced fans to his mum, who he recently reconnected with after the pair were estranged since he was a child.
The rapper, 32, shared a sweet photo of the pair of them on Instagram after revealing last year that they had reunited.
MGK – real name Colson Baker – and his mum could be seen sitting on the floor smiling and posing for the camera.
‘Introducing … my mom ❤️??,’ he wrote.
Fans are thrilled for him, with one writing: ‘Time for healing. Love this,’ and another adding: ‘Omg! This is major. Congrats for reconnecting ♥️’.
MGK was born in Houston, with his mum leaving when he was nine.
He’s referenced the incident in his music, with his 2019 song Burning Memories opening with the lyric: ‘Yeah, this one’s for the mama that I never knew, I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you’.
The song went on: ‘All the years that you ignored me, left me sleepless in the bed; I hope that he got some kids because your only son is dead.’
However, the rapper and his mum reconnected last year, with the star revealing it was his fans who encouraged him to make the move.
‘Wild story but after all these years, the fans are responsible for me and my mom finally reconnecting i love you,’ he tweeted.
MGK was raised by his dad, who died in 2020, with the rapper saying he had never felt ‘pain this deep’.
‘I had plans for the one year anniversary of Hotel Diablo today. that album was everything i wanted to say and i know it’s close to my fans,’ he tweeted. ‘But my father took his last breath this morning, and i’ve never felt a pain this deep in my life.’
He had previously opened up about being a ‘rule-breaking’ teenager, and wished to apologise to his dad.

‘I have such a rule-abiding, amazing daughter and I was such a rule-breaking, s***ty son. The legal fees, the tens of thousands of dollars from the times I got arrested, the finding out your son missed a whole semester of high school because he was waking up and pretending to go but never going.’
