American rapper 2 Chainz has been hospitalised after a car crash in Miami.

He was rushed to hospital on Saturday morning after being hit by a car in the Florida city.

Sources told a Tesla – whose driver is suspected to have been under the influence at the time – crashed into the 46 year old’s car when he was about to exit the l-95.

According to the US outlet, the We Own It hitmaker’s car was hit from the rear, as the damage to the Tesla, suspected to be the car in the rapper’s Instagram video, was to its front.

2 Chainz – real name Tauheed Epps – posted a video in the wake of the collision, in which he is seen filming from the perspective of the back of an ambulance as it readied itself to go to hospital.

The publication report that he suffered neck and possible other unknown injuries, but that he’s currently in a stable condition in hospital.

He had reportedly left a strip club called Booby Trap, shortly before the crash.

Earlier in the day, the musician filmed himself out and about in the city, as he hit up premium grocery store Marketplace 119, and bought himself some fresh seafood.

The I’m Different hitmaker was in South Florida for the star-studded Art Basel weekend.

Born and raised in College Park, Georgia, 2 Chainz grew a fanbase as one-half of the Southern hip hop duo Playaz Circle, alongside Earl ‘Dolla Boy’ Conyers.

The trap artist then went on to enjoy an illustrious solo career, with hits such asIt’s a Vibe and Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.

His career really took off as a solo artist when he was featured on Kanye West’s 2012 single Mercy off his album Cruel Summer.

This is not the first time the rapper has battled with his health.

Earlier this year, he revealed in an interview that he’d been suffering from knee problems for several years, and had surgery in 2021 which left him in a wheelchair for some time.
