Mandy Moore has reflected on her relationship with ex-boyfriend Andy Roddick amid the 20-year anniversary of his Open win.
The This Is Us actress, 39, briefly dated the tennis ace from 2003 to 2004, before they both moved on to other partners.
Andy, who later married Brooklyn Decker, sat down with GQ Magazine to unpack his success on the court ahead of the milestone anniversary, which saw the 40-year-old briefly claim the number one spot in the world.
Sharing her support for her ex, Mandy reposted a snap of the interview from Brooklyn’s account, with the message: ‘Andy was a really formative part of my young adult life and although we’re not in touch, I was so moved by this article reflecting on the 20th anniversary of his US Open win and the kind of life he’s lead since.
‘I’m so happy for him and his family. Congrats on this milestone, Andy! [sic].’
If that wasn’t praise enough, she slid into the comments of Brooklyn’s post to share: ‘I loved this article. Congrats on the 20th Anniversary of the Open!’
Thrilled with the comment, the model – who shares two children with the athlete – replied: ‘You’re a class act.
‘You were a huge part of his life (and actually there) during that time.’
Brooklyn has previously spoken about Andy’s relationship with Mandy, quipping that the Princess Diaries star ‘got his good years’.
‘I still harbor anger towards Mandy because she got his good years,’ she joked on Access Hollywood.
‘She got the hair, she got the US Open championship, she got the good stuff.’
Following their split, Mandy married Ryan Adams in 2009, before calling time on their relationship at the beginning of 2015.
Later that year, Mandy began dating musician Taylor Goldsmith, and they tied the knot in a ceremony in 2018.
They went on to welcome their first child, son August, in 2021, and added to their brood with baby Ozzie last October.
Sharing the news of his arrival on Instagram at the time, she celebrated: ‘Ozzie is here! Oscar Bennett Goldsmith arrived a little late but with much aplomb (and an easier/speedier delivery than his big brother, much to the delight of his parents).
‘Every adage is true: our hearts have doubled in size and the immediacy of the love is astounding.
‘He is beyond words and we are so grateful for our family of four!’
