Since the trailer for Barbie – – first dropped people have been obsessed with one scene in particular.

There’s a moment in the trailer that sees 32-year-old Margot’s titular character step out of her bright pink heels only for her feet to remain immaculately arched.

Anyone who grew up playing with Barbies will remember that the dolls’ feet remain arched even when their shoes are taken off, but Margot performed the move with such perfection that it seemed obvious CGI was involved.

But as it turns out, those glorious feet – arch and all – were all Margot’s.

The star explained in a new interview that she simply ‘held onto a bar’ and added that ‘no harness’ was used. Mind. Blown.

Speaking alongside her Barbie co-stars Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae and America Ferrera , Margot was asked about the scene and how long it took to film.

‘Probably about eight takes,’ the Australian actress said, adding: ‘They are my feet.’

Margot went on: ‘I walked up, we had little sticky bits on the floor, for the double-sided tape for the shoes so they wouldn’t come off – so I could get my feet out of them.

‘I was holding onto a bar, but that’s it. I wasn’t in a harness or anything like that. I just walked up, kind of held onto the bar above camera.’

Her co-stars were clearly just as flabbergasted that Margot’s feet remained so arched even when the heels came off, prompting her to explain that she did ballet when she was younger.
