The quirky video comes as the world braces itself for the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which stars Margot as the titular character and Ryan Gosling as her devoted other half Ken.
There’s still months to go before the film is released and it already has movie fans by a chokehold, with countless memes already birthed from the trailer, production stills .
While it’s easily one of the most anticipated films of the year, Margot recently admitted she wasn’t sure if it would ever see the light of day.
She told Bafta: ‘The first time I read the Barbie script, my reaction was: “Ah! This is so good. What a shame it will never see the light of day because they are never going to let us make this movie”.’
Thankfully, as we now all know, the movie did come to fruition – and now features a cast packed absolutely full to the brim with stars, from Will Ferrell to Dua Lipa, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, Nicola Coughlan and Anne Hathaway.
Greta co-wrote the script with her husband – the filmmaker director Noah Baumbach – who directed 2005’s The Squid And The Whale and 2019’s Marriage Story.
Barbie is set for release on July 21.
