She hosts the digital series “Money Matters with Maribel Aber” and appears on HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade,” “On the Story with Lynn Smith,” and “Weekend Express,” among other programmes.

She is a business and financial journalist who focuses on the influence of business, money, personal finance, and the economy on families and customers.

She formerly reported for CNN on breaking news stories such as the 2015 China market crash, the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting, and the 2012 Facebook IPO. In addition, she has worked as a freelance journalist.

Maribel Aber had an abdominal hysterectomy and is expected to return to work soon. She is pleased to be back in her seat, as well as the resumption of Money Matters with Maribel Aber on Thursday. She will also be a guest on the HLN Morning Express to discuss business.

She began her professional career with the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. as a securities regulator (now known as FINRA). Beginning in 2000, Aber worked for the NASDAQ Stock Market as an assistant director, global sales and member services.

She was appointed to vice president of the NASDAQ MarketSite, which is home to the NASDAQ Opening Bell, after serving as head of staff for the vice-chairman of the NASDAQ in 2001.

Maribel Aber’s Health and Surgery Update

She was scheduled for major surgery in February 2022 and was off the air for many weeks while she recovered. Her prognosis was good, but she needed a lot of time to get back on her feet.

On February 25, 2022, she underwent a hysterectomy on her abdomen, and she is now in good health.

Aber began her television career as a regular commentator on money and job concerns for “The Better Show,” a syndicated daytime television show produced by the Meredith Corporation, publisher of “Better Homes and Gardens,” “Ladies Home Journal,” and “Parents.”

Aber graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and a minor in German. She graduated from New York Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree.
