Addressing the monumental Love Island moment, Maya said: ‘Before we get into the chat, I’ve got some breaking news, everyone!
‘If you haven’t been on Instagram, Molly-Mae and Tommy have just got engaged! Congratulations!’
‘See, Love Island works!’, she declared.
‘They’ve got a baby, engagement, just a happy ever after!’
Co-star Sam Thompson then chimed in: ‘Money!’
‘Loads of money! All of that stuff!’, Maya joked.
The presenter was one of the first people to send her well wishes to the happy couple after they shared their engagement news with their millions of followers.

Tommy has faced relentless pressure to pop the question over the years, but he made the moment as romantic as possible.
Speaking previously about getting married, Tommy admitted he had wanted to propose sooner but, given his hectic schedule as an athlete, he had to switch things around.
However, he assured the Loose Men panel earlier this year that he is ‘100% ready for marriage!’
They also won’t be the first Love Island lovebirds to walk down the aisle.
Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland (runners-up in 2016) tied the knot in 2018, Dom Lever and Jess Shears (appeared on the 2017 series) wed in 2018 also, and Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt (also series 3) wed in 2021 – to name just a few!
