is facing accusations that her voice was edited into episodes of her podcast, which has been axed.
The Duchess of Sussex, 41, and her 38-year-old husband with the audio streaming giant to host and produce , estimated to be worth around $25million (£18m), in late 2020.
But on Friday the couple’s content creation label Archewell Audio and Spotify in a joint statement.
It’s now been claimed that some of the interviews recorded for mum-of-two Meghan’s audio show were ‘done by other staffers’.
According , ‘Meghan’s questions [were] edited-in afterwards’.
The outlet, which specialises in podcast news, didn’t specify which episodes allegedly had Meghan’s answers edited in.
Meghan only ended up hosting one series as part of the deal.
The podcast, called Archetypes, ran for 12 episodes from August 2022 and saw the former actress speak to the likes of Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Jameela Jamil and Paris Hilton about some of the stereotypes levelled against women.
Last week, an Archewell Productions spokeswoman told the : ‘Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform.’
Meanwhile, a joint statement from Archewell Audio, Harry and Meghan’s content creation label, and Spotify read: ‘Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.’
After the news that Meghan, Harry and Spotify had parted ways broke, Spotify executive Bill Simmons condemned the pair in an episode of .
‘The f***ing grifters. That’s the podcast we should have launched with them,’ he said.
‘I’ve got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories.’
Simmons, a sportswriter, founded sports and pop culture website and podcast network The Ringer and sold it to Spotify in 2020 for $200m.
