In the true meaning of ‘ignorance is bliss’, Kendall Jenner and, seemingly Kylie Jenner, too, are apparently none the wiser as to what the word ‘frugal’ means.

We suppose when you’re worth squillions, penny-pinching isn’t really a thing, is it?

The supermodel, 26, and makeup mogul, 24, were schooled on the fun, new word by sister Kourtney Kardashian as they sat down with siblings, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and momager Kris Jenner, for an interview

The stars held pictures of one another and when asked which of the sisters was the most frugal – as in to be sparing or economical as regards money or food, in case you’ve got a case of the Kendalls – both Kendall and Kylie looked baffled AF.

As the Kardashian sisters quickly revealed they believed Kendall, 26, to be the most thrifty, Ken turned to Kourtney and confessed: ‘I don’t know what that means.’

Getting all Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert on her, Kourt replied: ‘You care about the cost, like, money.’

This explanation was the ‘ding ding ding’ right answer and the 818 Tequila founder – who’s reportedly worth $45million (£34m) – nodded and replied, ‘Oh yeah, I’m cheap!’

While Kylie (who’s a billionaire) didn’t admit she wasn’t across the word, she looked confused and all kinds of uncomfortable as she turned around to look at her sisters, before copying Khloe and silently drawing Kendall out of the pack as well. We see you Kylie…

Of course the clip, from an interview with Access Hollywood, is going gangbusters on social media, with a TikTok video gaining nearly 2m views in a day.

‘God!!!! I want to be this kind of rich! I love her,’ one fan enthused in the comments, as another noted of Kylie: ‘Kylie had no idea, at least Kendal didn’t pretend to know lol.’

However, Kendall definitely had her backers, with one arguing: ‘Not all of you attacking her just for not knowing the meaning of a [word]…’

The family is hot on the promotional trail ahead of the release of their new show later this week after long-running series Keeping Up With The Kardashians came to an end in June last year.

Giving us a little ‘same same but different’, The Kardashians will blast onto Hulu and Disney Plus on Friday.

The show was originally announced in December 2020 and will be more documentary-style than the original show, and will take us right up to current Kardashian-Jenner events.

But perhaps don’t hold your breath for financial insight from frugal queen Kendall.
