has opened up about her public split from her Good Will Hunting co-star and ex-boyfriend .
Both stars started a relationship after featuring in the 1997 psychological drama film, which was written by the 51-year-old actor and close friend .
Matt and Damon, 51, had a whirlwind romance from 1997 to 1998 after starring as love interests in the movie, but Matt confirmed he was single during the Show in 1999.
The 52-year-old actress detailed how blindsided she felt seeing their split on the front page of magazines.
Speaking to , she said: ‘I don’t care who you are, that is agony and it’s like a strange, surreal dream. But I know he didn’t put that picture there.’
The Cinderella star also revealed that her family predicted that her romance with The Bourne Identity actor would be short-lived, as both of their careers were ‘rocketing really fast.’
She explained: ‘They were like, “this may well end badly for reasons that are to do with all these things coming together in a perfect storm.”‘
The actress, who hosts her own podcast, Minnie Questions, is now engaged to Addison O’Dea, having been linked to him since 2019.
While Matt married movie star Luciana Bozán in 2005 and share three children.
Minnie recently spoke about, after an ‘awful’ doctor told her she was ‘barren’ when she was 18.
Explaining how she’d been told she couldn’t have children as a teenager, the actress candidly recalled: ‘I was told I couldn’t have children when I was 18.
‘This awful, patrician doctor just came into the room and – I was still there semi-n**ed.n**ed in a paper gown – he literally compared my uterus to the u-bend in a toilet and was like, “Nothing’s going through there. You won’t be having children.”’
