’s sister, , has officially married her partner, Danny Rae, and the first pictures from the event show a stunning ceremony.
Zoe, 28, and Danny have been waiting two years to say ‘I do’ after first getting engaged in April 2022, and it seems it was worth the wait with pictures from their big day showing a breathtaking location for their special moment.
The and her armoured corp husband wed in the beautiful Lakes District region, announcing in a posted to Zoe’s channel on July 30 that they picked the venue ‘straight after we got engaged’.
Danny admitted, ‘We knew straight away’ that the venue was suitable for them as it offered a beautiful outdoor setting.
‘We’re desperate to get married outside,’ Zoe chuckled.
Now, the first pictures from the event prove the couple’s wish has come true, even if there were spots of rain.
The first photographs show key moments of the event, including Molly-Mae and her daughter Bambi walking down the aisle before Zoe and her father, Stephen, took centre stage.
Zoe and Danny said in their vlog, in which they answered questions about their wedding last week, that they both value tradition and wanted their wedding to reflect that.
Zoe joked, ‘it’s going to be a bog standard wedding’.
Other photos from the big day show the couple exchanging vows and later a kiss as they stood amongst lush green scenery.
Zoe wore a fitted white off-the-shoulder dress, complete with a veil and puff sleeves. Her hair was elegantly done in a half-up, half-down style, while her make-up appeared glowy and natural.
She kept her accessories minimal, choosing to wear only a delicate necklace and earrings.
As for her husband, Danny, he wore his full military uniform. Zoe said in her vlog it was something that she was ‘most excited’ to see on their special day.
Standing around the couple was Zoe’s maid of honour, Molly-Mae, who stunned in a navy one-shouldered fitted dress with an eye-catching shoulder feature, much like her sister’s dress.
Danny stood with seven of his closest army friends who served as his guard of honour and were all dressed in uniform, creating a spectacular image at the top of the aisle.
A guard of honour is an official parade of troops who come together, most often during times of celebration such as a wedding.
Also spotted at the nuptials was Tommy Fury, who was seated in the front row and looked dapper in a pinstripe navy blue suit matching his fiancé, Molly-Mae’s dress.
Zoe and Danny revealed in their wedding Q and A that their guest list was comprised of 130 of their closest friends and family. Elaborating on the structure, they said 100 would attend the wedding and day part of the event, while a further 30 would join them at the reception.
The couple said they could have had a smaller guest list but there were family members who they couldn’t not invite, ‘you think you’re in control of the guest list, you’re not,’ Zoe joked.
Zoe and Danny had five children attend their wedding, including Molly-Mae and Tommy’s daughter, Bambi, who was dressed in an adorable white frock complete with two pigtails in her hair.
They said they didn’t choose to have a child-free wedding but that they ‘didn’t extend the invite’ to other friends and family with children.
The couple also said at the time of planing their wedding two years ago, they were working with a smaller budget as they were both still enlisted in the army.
Zoe said since leaving the army to pursue a social media career, their budget, which was initially £15,000 to £20,000, became larger. They did not specify how much they spent on their wedding but hinted they had gone over their first budget.
They did not reveal exact details about who paid for what or whether anything was gifted to the couple, but Danny joked about his salary, which he paid for ‘the DJ,’ while Zoe added that they split costs based on a percentage of earnings.
Zoe also said they had to think of their guests when choosing where they would wed: ‘When I was in the army, we were definitely not in a position where we could hold this big extravagant thing.’ she said.
‘Also, for the sake of our family and friends, we wanted something that was easy to get to, not crazy amounts of money, an affordable venue, and an affordable area to be in. That was something that was really important to us.’
On top of the cost being important, the newlyweds were very clear in stating that they wanted good weather, and it seems they did – at least for the ceremony.
Once the main event was over, however, the weather took a turn for the worse, and the wedding party had to relocate inside. The couple previously stated that it wouldn’t be a problem for the venue to cater to an inside or outside wedding, and they were able to adapt with little notice.
Now, one day after their big day, Zoe and Danny have shared their first photo as husband and wife on Instagram.
Captioning the post ‘Mr & Mrs Rae | 06.07.24 🤍’, the couple shared an adorable black and white image of them gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes with the breathtaking scenery of the Lakes District behind them.
Zoe and Danny’s wedding comes two years after their engagement, but the couple’s love story goes back to 2021, when they met while working in the British Army.
In a video posted on Zoe’s YouTube account shortly after their engagement in April 2022, the now-influencer revealed in the video titled that she and Danny worked in the same camp for three years but only met through running.
Zoe noticed Danny at the gym and added him to the running app Strava, with her now-husband quickly following her back. The two soon met during drinks with friends at a local pub and instantly hit it off.
While it’s unclear exactly when the pair met, they made their relationship official on Instagram in August 2021 by sharing a photo.
